Scan with your phone camera

A sample code. Paste your review link and yours appears here as you type.

  • 10 seconds to make a code
  • 3 printable formats
  • 90 days of scan history
  • $0 now and later

Three steps, ten minutes, more reviews.

  1. Paste your review link

The direct link to your review box. Google gives you one under 'Ask for reviews'; Yelp and Facebook have theirs too.

  2. Print it where the moment happens

Business cards for the invoice, a stand for the counter, stickers for the van. Pick a template and press print.

  3. Watch the scans

Your private stats page shows scans by day and by device, so you know which placement works and when people are happiest.

The first review tool that tells you if anyone used it.

Every free generator gives you a square of pixels and wishes you luck. This one shows you, for example, that the counter stand was scanned 41 times last week and the one by the door twice, so you move the stand, change the words, or ask differently. Reviews follow attention; the counter shows you where the attention is.

  • Scans by day

See the Friday-afternoon spike, the dead Mondays, the week the new sign went up.

  • Phone vs desktop

Scans come from phones; taps on the same short link in a text come from anywhere. Both count.

  • Private by link

No account, no password. Your stats live at a secret link only you have.

Where it gets scanned

The moment matters more than the design. Put the code where people feel good about you.

On the invoice

For trades and services: the job is done, the kitchen works, and the code is on the paper in their hand. Highest scan rate of any placement.

On the table

Restaurants and cafés: a stand that says "Enjoyed it? Tell Google". Staff mentioning it roughly doubles scans.

In the follow-up text

Send the short link itself an hour after the visit. It counts taps as well as scans, and it's the easiest one to test.

  • On the invoice
  • Table stand
  • By the register
  • On the van
  • In the bag
  • Mirror corner
  • Thank-you text
  • Closing gift card
  • Lobby sign
  • Receipt footer

Ask everyone, reward no one.

Google lets you ask every customer for a review. It doesn't let you offer a discount or gift for one, filter out unhappy customers before asking, set up a "review station" in your shop, or write reviews for people. Break those and the reviews get removed, sometimes the profile with them. Read the full rules in plain English.

Questions people ask

Is it really free?

Yes. No account, no watermark, no limit, and the scan counter is free too. It's built by a web consultant as a useful thing to put his name on; the only ask is that you consider him if you ever need a website.

How does the scan counter work?

Your QR code points to a short link on r.reviewqrcodes.com. When someone scans it, the scan is counted and they're sent straight on to your review page, with no page in between. You get a private stats link showing scans by day and by device.

Does it work for Yelp, Facebook, Trustpilot or others?

Yes. Paste any review link. Google is the most common, and there's a one-minute guide to finding yours.

Will the QR still work if this site disappears?

If you turn the counter off, the QR points directly at your review page and depends on nothing here. With the counter on, it goes through our short link; we've committed to keeping those links alive, and you can always reprint without the counter.

What do you store?

With the counter on: the link you entered, the optional business name, and scan counts by day and device type. Nothing about the people who scan. With the counter off: nothing at all.

Can I change the link later?

Not yet. Make a new code (it takes ten seconds) and reprint.
